just to add, we have Briggs, all the opposing coaches know that he's a stud.
they are gonna target Oliver and our 2nd OH/Opp like clockwork, if they serve to Briggs, it's because the server missed.
we got all these recruits, and there's one question about to get answered. Can they pass the ball?
Finally, please, please let's not have a cancelation today.
First of all, we are gonna destroy Harvard, it's gonna be 3-0 unless they fall apart for some reason or other, and we are going to destroy Erskine.
so the season and how this team fares really gets going next week when we begin to play 4 straight vs the top 4 powerhouse programs back east (Loyola, Lewis, the Ohio State, and Penn State). And that's gonna ultimately have a huge huge influence on the RPI come selection time. Ready or not.
It's so weird, it feel like we won that 2nd natty and everything has been on hold for 2 years.
The season is set up for some epic matches (and sell-outs) vs. Hawaii & UCLA once again. It was that 'coming out' match in February 2018 sell out vs. UCLA at the Pyramid that gave the MVB program that 'wow' factor.
This is the deepest team I think LB has had (on paper at least). It's the most physical team, ... will it be a national contender? That's all about receiving and timing. That 2018 team with Huus (so underrated as a receiver/passer) and TJ for the most part passed nails. So it comes down to how our outsides pass, simple as that, because these other top programs are gonna serve bombs, that's the men's game in this era. We got guys that can block and shove the ball down the throat of an opponent. It's all about passing, and especially receiving. The 2019 team struggled a bit early because it had to replace Huus steadiness back there.
I think we're likely to go about 18-5, but that could be off by 2-3 wins/losses either way, depending on the passing.
Let's hope we get thru thru the MIVA matches in good form next week, then come home for a sell-out vs a good Penn State team on the 29th, then an all-out brawl with UCLA on Feb 7th, ala that 2018 home match.
hoping Hawaii keeps it up, as do we, to set up some more epic showdowns this year
