regardless of who it is, hoping for a shot in the arm with this and a packed Pyramid next August Previous Message
Sealy at UCLA was makeing $250k, that's about top of Pac-12, although Stanford and USC don't disclose, guessing they are at the $300k range
so again, it's not like LB won't offer some peon salary, the base won't be the same as those, and expect aside from Hawaii, LB's next coach will be the highest paid in the Big West, $$ don't equate to success, so we'll see about the right candidate,
and keep in mind USAV training centers for Beach and Indoor are in SoCal, lots of reasons for an aspiring National Coach to be in SoCal

... we don't know ...yet
with the delay, Hildebrand remains a subject of speculations...and hope
BCS Head VB coaches don't necessarily get paid outrageous salaries.
Now COok @ Nebraska, and Elliot @ Texas are expections, upwards with everything they exceed $600k
but most assistants are paid peanuts.
BW Head coaches were probably averaging around $100k
typical assistant probably make $50k to 80k, they do get side work with clubs to supplement
HIldebrand being an Associate Head Coach makes one think he's around the top paid assistant in teh country, gotta be around $150k + supplemental
Pac-12 coaches base salaries can be below $150k for some schools
Joy & Matt were unique, combined base package was probably about $200k or so,
it all depends how much Fee/Jane were willing to 'stretch'
as stated, they can give Tyler multiple duties, especially with his USAV Beach experience, so it's not like the LB job can't be made attractive for the best candidate
Assistants out there would CHOMP at the bit to go from 75k to 125k as a head coach, hence Fee would have to a multitude of assistants, as to how serious some of them would be for LB long-term, that's another story. Most would look at LB as a potential stepping stone...but not necessarily. Being the HC at LB provides side work as well
Geogia threw $175k at Tom Black to get him from LMU, and he may be on the hot seat soon
at this point, probably have to rule out Sabrina, or some other west coast canidates, there would have been no reason to hold off on an announcement,
which leaves the only explaination of a final four assistant OR some interviews going on at the final four, which would of meant Fee would have had to be there
could be there is a 1st choice, and a contingent choice
so the finalists
Karch. He's in SoCal, why not?! lol
BG. Tan, rested, and ready
Hildebrand. The timing implies he's a target. He can be the Director of VB, Indoor HC, and work outdoor
Other candidate? that's a tough one, would have to be out of the blue, and why would it have delayed so long, unless maybe the 1st choice also has some other offer, a possibility
depending on the selection, think Sabrina is a high likelihood to be retained,...for pretty much any candidate, ties to key players, great record down the stretch
we shall see
