Before LBSU fans worry about the coach leaving lets have the program make the NCAA tourney and even win a game.
Last year’s team had a nice streak but it was against not very good teams and when they played the better conference teams they were beaten. This year the team has won some games against okay teams but again not proven teams. Fore example, LBSU beat undefeated Rhonda Island but that team in now on a three game losing streak.
The program has improved but still has some big holes on the team. I agree with alexi that Utti is a big reason why they are still undefeated. Previous Message
Don't follow women's basketball much, but there seemed to be small improvements last year. The reason for the huge leap this year is primarily Maddi Utti. Having an excellent player on the floor is gonna make any coach look better. If their success continues and Cammon gets a big job, he will have Maddi to thank. Previous Message
I disagree, one gear of improvement is not enough to extend at that time, it s a common mistake ADs make to reward a blip because they become so desperate
Not saying last year was just a blip, and the wbb trend is solid. Bottom line is after this year if trend continues yes and the danger of poaching a coach at a our mid major level is always out there Previous Message
I posted last year that Fee should extend Cammons before entering the last year of his contract (this year). The team showed plenty of improvement in Year 4, certainly enough to warrant a 2 or 3 year extension. If the Lady Niners continue playing at a high level this season, Cammons will likely get offers from other schools and move on. You never let a coach into his/her final year unless you've already decided to make a coaching change. Does Fee think we're bringing Jody back?
