this is the reason that was given to cut Dan Smith

just so everyone that supports Long Beach understands: The Long Beach Athletic Department official policy and position is it believes it is in the BEST interest of Long Beach athletics that Dan Smith is NOT the PA announcer

it believes that saying Long Beach instead of Beach is a detriment to LB athletics.

It believes that a shark instead of a 49er is benefical

that is our current university and AD policy, sums it all up!
