omg, see Joe Calero, Cal Poly, parlayed 3 good days into 5 or 6 years of extension, such is the plight and not atypical over-reaction by Mid-major ADs
and see Dan Monson, an extension that was based on something I'm still trying to process exactly what

and just in time before conference.
now....the real work begins.
one week in 5 years is a data point, nothing more than that - wouldn't try to read more into it than that.
as good as the receiving/serve/passing (and timeliness) was improved, there were still breakdowns (last set vs. SDSU), 3rd and some of 4th set vs San Diego when San Diego mixed their serve a bit better.
bottom line, hopefully Hoff (especially) and company back there can keep 'incrementally improving' ala Alan Knipe's 'get 1% better every day.
The Big West isn't good this year, probably worst since maybe forever. The Beach can plausible win the conference.
The MB attack has to get some better timing. We don't, for lack of a better description, have MBs that can put the ball down with force, although Canez has shown she can hit to good spots
Receiving. the key. We also got a LOT of nice digs with good passes to spots. De Le Cruz really showed a lot of value with some surrogate sets.
Serving still could use some more consistency. Have a lot of variety. A key is Lovett, Kash, & Tia's serves are very high risk-reward, dialed in they can make havoc, and then they also string together 2 straight SEs at times.
Setting. Dependent on passing. Need that 1% improvement trend. Tia's athletic and can also be an attacker, but please no more left side dumps. A dump needs to be in the court of play 95% of the time at least.
Credit to Joy, compensating for Right side and middle, putting Kennedy in sports and using the slide for Canez. Keeping as much of the block honest and not campoing on the left is bottom line for this team.
hopefully, hopefully, this week is finally a trend and not an aberration.
