Posted by jimboylan This link, http://historical.maptech.com/ will have older maps. This particular page covers some of the future lake: An 80 foot high hydro-electric dam and powerhouse were built after the above map was drawn. It's now in the modern lake, the top of the old dam is about 160 feet below the present water surface!

I posted this before about Raystown:
Check local stores for a "Fishing Map" that purports to show all the old structures where the critters can hide. It reprints the portions of the Geodetic Survey map now covered by the lake.
Interviews with local children about 1982, when the lake was new, brought the news that the Corps of Engineers allowed the former residents to use house moving companies to take the old buildings to high ground. Then all the trees were cut down and blocked the old roads before they were covered with water.

It's the SouthWest corner of the 1901 Huntingdon, Pa. 15 minute quadrangle map. The village of Aitch in the upper center of the link is actually at the NorthWest shoreline of the lake. The Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain Railroad shown in that town is on a slight embankment in a few feet of water. There is no trace of the buildings along the main street on either side of the shoreline, just the top of the railroad embankment, sticking out of the water about 100 feet from shore, depending on the drought or flood conditions. The street is now a boat access ramp!
