It was Mrs. Dow's school for Girls, followed by Miss Porter's School, and Briarcliff College. Pace bought the campus in the 70's, when Briarcliff College closed. Both the Briarcliff campus of Pace University, and the nearby former Kings College campus are rumored to be haunted. I lived in Dow Hall as a student at Pace, and never once saw or heard anything ghostly.
