Southwest Airlines and Garment Bags

We are flying to Jacksonville and need to know if anyone has ever brought on garment bags with their competition clothes in it. I cannot find whether there is a closet to hang them or if we will have to fold them to put in the over head bins. We have 4 garment bags. Please help if you know what or how to get this to Jacksonville if they do not have a closet to hang them in. Mom is afraid to check in competition clothes.... Thank you so much.... Stephanie
