I don't know, I just see it as still being risk involved with weightpull. Like the last pull I went to. This one dog was being pulled. It's last pull had been a month prior, and he pulled 1400 lbs. With no practice or training during the month, he pulled over 3200, obviously having trouble with it and limping at parts. The judges did nothing to prevent this, only the complaints of a few of us stopped it. Just trying to point out that a dog can be hurt and that judges sometimes need to step in.
I think a medium sized, sturdy but spring built dog should be able to withstand a long jump into the sand.
