The registry alone wont tell you anything truly important about the dog. Generally speaking, the ADBA dogs tend towards a leaner, longer-legged, more old-school look, wheras the UKC dogs will be thicker, and bred more towards a "type" that excels in the show ring. However, those generalizations don't sweep all the dogs. You will see fat blue bullies registered with the ADBA and you will see lean, athletic dogs registered with the UKC.
All 3 of mine are dual-registered UKC/ADBA. A well-built dog that is conditioned properly for what type of show it is can still win in both registries. So it all boils down to what you prefer. And I should mention that you can take papers from either registry and use them to register with the other.
