Huge differences, to the point were you can define your line, to a point, by which registry you use. The ADBA dogs tend to be racier (think greyhound)and between 30 and 50 lbs, the UKC dogs tend to be stocky and larger, maybe 60-80 lbs, at least around here. But of course, many people do dual-registry, which makes this a moot point. The dogs i like to work with right now are a mix of tight-bred ADBA game dogs and UKC show lines. Personally, I don't care one bit about who wrote the dogs pedigree if the dog wants to work!! Today i saw a very nice little female off the ADBA-reg Termite line, which I've never seen in the working APBT's, but the dog brought a lot to the table.
I think i know where you are going with your question, and i would say figure out what you WANT in a dog, and what is UNACCEPTABLE for you, then look for lines bringing what you want, and lacking what you don't, regardless of registry. Plenty of honest people here to steer you in the right direction.
Just my opinion, worth price charged...

: since I've seen that there can be a lot of
: excessive controversy and emotion when it
: comes to multiple registries within a single

: ruffling feathers.

: My question: I was curious to know what the
: differences are between APBT's reg. with the
: ADBA, and those with the UKC. Is there any
: difference (aside from opinions between
: people)? And if so, which would be the most
: significant? Or do each focus on different
: traits in the breed? (ie
: conformation/structure, performance,
: "gameness", etc)
:
: Thanks in advance.
