Posted by Doug Setter Since high school, the hockey athletes all seemed to get away with more than the average person. Even the vice principal mentioned what a great hockey fight that a student could of had if he had not kicked the other player. But a scuffle on the school yard would get you banned. I admire the discipline and hard work of athletes. But some of them get so used to the celebrity status that they assault, rape and use drugs like they are above the law. Too bad. Bertuzzi screwed up. Let him take his punishment and get back in the game.

Yes, hitting is part of that game. But, just like in boxing, a hit to the groin or back of the head is illegal. It was a dirty hit.
