Posted by behindthebull Here is a guy, an overweight unattractive guy, a guy whos been married four or more times, a guy whos been arrested for beating up his ex-wife, giving advice to men about relationships. He routinely disparages women for being overweight yet he himself is quite fat. The psychology behind Tom Leykis is crystal clear. Hes trying so hard to be everything he wasnt growing up. He was and still is an overweight, not very attractive guy who was probably desperate for attention, especially from attractive girls, who wouldnt give him the time of day. He has built this radio persona, the powerful egotistical male chauvinist, because hes an angry bitter guy. Radio was the only place he could do what he does, because hes not attractive enough to make it on TV. He implores his listeners to never get married, yet he doesnt follow his own advice, which also proves this guy is desperate for the attention of women. If you dont believe me then listen when Tom starts to argue with a listener. He inevitably falls back to the defense of how much money he makes. See, to him, now that he has a bunch of fans and makes good money, hes no longer the fat unattractive kid that couldnt get a date. Hes now a powerful and wealth celebrity. The bitterness over his life pours through with every word out of his mouth. He is so easy to see through its scary. When Tom walks down the street, girls dont give him the time of day, when hes on the radio, hes a celebrity. That kills him. The funny part is if a really attractive girl, wanted to marry him, he would get married again in a heartbeat, despite what he tells his listeners, because again, he is desperate to be what hes never been. With all radio personalities like Tom, they usually have the same types of backgrounds. They are usually guys who wanted to get into show business, but didnt have the looks or the talent to make it. Radio provided them with a forum to be what they always wanted to be, both professionally and psychologically and hide their faces. Think about it, would Howard Stern or Tom Leykis have made it as comedians or television actors? Of course not. Both tried and failed miserably. It is so routine to find these controversial radio hosts, who without fail treat women like dirt, have faces only a mother, and thats stretching it, could love. I consider myself a really open guy. I have a racy sense of humor and I like controversial topics. But what I dont like are unintelligent forms of entertainment that have no redeeming quality. I have great wife, wonderful kids, and a terrific career, why would I want to listen to an overweight bitter man try and make up for all of his shortcomings over the radio. It does nothing for me to hear a 40 year old guy talk to 20 year old guys and women stupid enough to call his show and try to defend themselves. Where a guy like Tom is dangerous is in the number of young men listening to his show. They think he is this really hip confident guy, when just the opposite is true. He encourages them to try and be and do everything he couldnt and cant. If any guys read this please see this guy for what he is and want he isnt. Taking advice from a bitter, disgruntled, angry guy that has to hide his face to be popular and powerful isnt someone to follow.

Anybody who listens to this guy doesn't have much in the way of common sense or reasoning. Much like Hitler did to the masses of starving Germans, Tom preaches to men devoid of any real substance. Anybody claiming to having an interesting or controversial point of view, when they decide to broadcast that point of view, must be researched and not blindly followed. Especially guys like Tom Leykis.
