There are so many ideas but one thing came to mind. Check a catalog such as Chadwicks of Boston(www.chadwicks.com) The have great dresses for weddings. Sears and Penny's too. If you wanted a train you could have a very very long veil that trails behind you. I actually think that looks very elegant.
