I am also a great believer in some symbolism. I love the bride and groom giving a flower to their parents. A unity candle would be very appropriate for you. Somewhere online I read about a kneeling rug used during the ceremony. I think you can buy them, but you could certainly make your own to fit your lifestyle. I don't know if it would work, but perhaps you could purchase a plain small throw rug, and have meaningful people sign it with good wishes...this could be a wall hanging later in your home. Think lovely tapestry effect.
Hi...One of the best pictures taken at my wedding was one of all my cousins. As we have grown to adulthood, we are now spread all over the country....this is the last picture we have of all of us together. It is cherished.
