Hi....NEVER underestimate the power of candles in the evening. They are beautiful, especially outdoors. Safety is important....but aside from that let your imagination go. You can make candle holders out of jars with wire wrapped around the top to set out...hang from hooks...(think garden hooks and check out the garage sales this summer)...also the shorter garden hooks with hanging candle holders lining a path is lovely. After Valentine's Day check out all the sales....you will find candles, heart, rose decor marked way down. Also candies can be purchased and stored....just look at the expiration date. I was at JoAnne's this week and they still had Christmas items on clearance at 90% off. Tons of wired silver ribbon, and red candles.
Look for clearance fabric to loop and twist.
For Fall weddings you can plant flowers to bloom in baskets, buckets, barrels, old cowboy boots, cheap straw cowboy hats, garage sale finds (china or glass bowls, teapots...no lid needed, if it is a container consider it). For my niece's wedding, my sister and I planted garage sale baskets....and a few after Easter clearance baskets.....with impatients, petunias, alyssum, and greens. These were placed all around the outdoor tent to great effect.
We had a variety of tables....and my niece sewed cushions for the picnic tables out of a coordinating fabric. Think how fun bandana's around simple pillows would be.
If you have never been to www.orientaltrading.com or trader ...I cannot remember....go there.
Hope this helps....
