Any inexpensive "favor" ideas?

I am planning a BIG wedding on a small budget. There will be as many as 250 guests and I really want to give back a little something to each of them to show my appreciation for their presence. Does anyone know of a practical and low cost item I could make or buy for my friends and family to take home from the reception?
