The black wolf shifted his weight paw to paw anxiously, as he always did. Thanh was doing so as well, and in any other situation it might have been comical to observe; but not now. Hali, realizing he needed to look dignified, stood still, drawing himself up in an intimidating position towards his grandson, tail neatly in the downward slope of his limbs and curled oh-so-slightly at the tip. His eyes were hard. It was all Thanh could do not to crumple beneath the hard-eyed gazes of his grandparents, and as he felt the chill in Spritey's voice it was enough to shatter his heart. He blinked, and was surprised to find hot, shameful tears welling in his blue eyes. He swallowed them and moved before Alte and his babes, ears back in proper fashion for a scorned wolf. "Grandmother, Grandfather," He began, his voice slightly cracked, and Alte bit her lip to restrain a slightly amused smile, "This is Alte, daughter of Vercingetorix son of Diriclaw." He carefully avoided the word 'mate'. The little femme nodded reverantly, smiling. "And Alte, this is Spritey, my granddam, and Halifax, my grandsire." Alte did not move from her place in the den, shifting her weight to defend the pups from the chill. "Thanh did say his bloodlines were great, I can only agree. A pleasure, sir and madame." Hali couldn't repress a smile. "The pleasure is ours, Alte." The brute then cast a stony glance to his grandson and a warm one to Spritey, quizzical but loving, as if to say 'I love you -- and did I do that right?' Thanh slunk, shamed, to the side of the den, hoping to escape the angry eyes of his grandparents. Moro -- why did you do something so stupid, Thanh?! "And the pups are Kiri, Exululo and Darkenrapture." He, like his grandsire, cast his "mate" a questioning look, and she nodded indiscreetly. He smiled briefly. "We call Exululo 'Lulu' and Darkenrapture 'Darken'," She explained quietly, with a gentle grin. It could take you all your lifetime, Roux turned with a snarl, aware of the fact that he was being persued -- rather quickly -- by another. His gold eyes burning, he hid himself and awaited Mirai, unaware it was his brother he planned to 'teach a lesson'. The tall, auburn brute was quite prepared to knock the stuffing from this arrogant young bruiser, but did not count on the silvery shadow flickering through the trees, observing him as he waited for her brother...
