Halifax laughed softly, though silenced with the look that Nathaniel gave her sister. The femme narrowed her eyes, lifting her lip ominously. Ani then did something rather unexpected. It looked as if she was quite ready to call Tsuka's bluff; her muscles were taut, prepared to spring onto her sister and tear her ears off...
Instead, the she-wolf turned with a contemptuous snort and flicked her tail, ambling off toward her brother and sitting beside him. "Odd old wolf, eh?" Nathaniel grinned sheepishly, nuzzling her brother. "You're 'is mirror image, love," She teased.
"I can never imagine you as an ugly duckling, my love," Hali replied with a small laugh.
At Spritey's words of Thanh, he nodded solemnly. "Mmm... perhaps... perhaps we should, Spritey..."
Hali smiled as he said the word. "Spritey..." He repeated, laughing softly. "It's been so long since I said that name and seen the accompanying face..." He nuzzled her.
Thanh looked rather bleak. "...I take it... I take it you've bad news for me...?"
Hali looked reproachfully at Spritey.
