The dam smiled at her grandson, pain stabbing at her chest again. He and Mirai were so much like their fathers... She shook off the depressing thoughts, leaping up onto the boulder and dropping her head to her paws. A glimmering grain of quartz caught the wolfess' eye and she found herself entranced by its sparkling. If she twisted her head just-so, it looked like the gleam to Halifax's eye when he was playfully pondering something...
