She tumbled from her grandfather's back, landing gracefully and promptly taking a seat before Spritey, obviously expectant of her granddam to pick her up or stumble for not doing so. Hali looked surprised and sad at the same time. "I believe I've been forgotten, m'love," He sighed. "C'est la vie. Never had much luck with the ladies. Then again... I was dead the first two years of my life." Halifax laughed and smiled at Spritey. "But I suppose that's fine. For should I have been born alive, I would never have met you. And what a horrible loss for me." The black wolf wagged his tail once, appropriate for a happy wolf. Thanh furrowed his brow, nodding to his grandfather. "Darken, stay with your mother and grandmother." The young brute remarked sternly to his son, who rolled his red-orange eyes and trotted to Spritey's side, as Halifax left it with another nuzzle. As the two got closer to the battle scene, Halifax stopped dead, golden eyes alive with angry flame. The older wolf inhaled, disbelief in his voice. "It can't be," He grumbled, shaking his head. "What?" Asked Thanh. Hali only shook his head, quickening his pace to arrive sooner. Thanh followed suit. Roux laughed again, coldly and darkly, at Mirai's words. "Like it or not, boy, the blood that runs through my veins runs through yours. Trust me, I don't savor the thought of being related to a blind --" But his words were cut off sharply as Mirai charged him. Roux restrained a bark of pain as the sharp teeth of his brother sank into his flank, and, with a snarl of anger, brought his head about to latch similarly on to Mirai's neck. Nothing deadly, but the closest thing to grab onto with his own pointed teeth. Halifax growled. They were too far to intervene now, and should the auburn brute creep a little farther down upon his son's neck he'd have his jugular. The brute put on a burst of speed, beginning a full-blown run towards his son and the stranger he prayed was not whose scent rode the air like a vile perfume. Thanh followed, his long legs keeping up with his grandfather's own similarly long strides easily.
