Posted by Celtic Sprite et All on 1/5/2005, 7:36 pm, in reply to "..forever chill.." “Singers are in our family. Surely you did not forget that, Love!” she teased Halifax, her own proud grin on full display. “Lulu will do our line some good, few of our other children and grandchildren have shown such obvious signs of promise.” The wolfess brushed off his expression of chastisement with another flick of her tail, after returning the embrace fondly. Apparently, Kili had inherited some of her charm from her great-grandmum...Spritey only hoped that the little girl had as much fortune in finding a dedicated mate as she had. Spritey was too far ahead of Thanh to catch Darken’s comment, though she probably would have laughed at the obvious jealousy one could note in his tone. Her attention focused on leading the rag-tag group to their safety alcove, she nearly missed the sight of her pair of sons arguing within the forest. It was not until her grandson made mention that the ivory fae glanced in the proper direction, her own brow furrowed in confusion. “I’m not exactly certain...” she murmured in reply. “You did not allow him into the pack, I take it? Perhaps someone should investigate then...” She glanced behind herself at the mother and litter of pups, knowing it would be unwise to approach with such a vulnerable crowd. “Halifax...” Spritey called, turning to her mate with worried eyes. “I’ll take Lulu and lead Alte and the others to the den, will you and Thanh look into the stranger? I don’t want Mirai to get hurt...he’s ridiculously pride-ridden, you know...” “Pfft, what makes you claim such a demeaning thing as that?” Mirai growled back. “It will be a cold day in Hell before I’d ever lay familial claim upon a cowardly, pestersome little shadow such as yourself! Go roll over in your dung, lap-dog.” The snow-dusted brute would have let the insults stay at that, but when Roux made the crude commentary upon his parents, his rage could no longer be contained. He snarled fiercely, leaping in the direction the stranger’s voice had come from. He was adept in spite of his handicap, latching sharp fangs into the shoulder of his unknown brother. “I will feed you your own tongue!” rumbled the brute, his voice muffled by flesh and fur. ((I admire you keeping up the HTML for so long! Lol...but I'd thought it didn't work on this board? Or is it another format that is required?))

Spritey’s eyes widened at the sudden display of song, and she promptly reached over to nuzzle the little bird.
