Hello, my name is Rick and I am from the chicagoland area. I am a regular user of this forum, but this is the first time I have posted. Last weekend I attended a fishing show at Lockport High school and met a man named Dan. He turned out to be a great guy and very informative on fishing the Midwest. Well he told me that he had been using forums such as this for the last few years and has already realized how powerful forums can be for anglers. He made some good points about how a forum that was broken down into geographical location would better help anglers so they can discuss fishing with people who live/fish the lakes and rivers they do. Anyways he made it clear to me that he is paying for this site himself and offers free membership to anyone that would like to join. I do believe he launched the site last week, and is waiting for some users to signup. Anyways I am not sure if I can even post this on this board, if not Im sorry, but the site is midwestfishing.net and is up now. It is just a beta version of the site and he is currently working on it. I hope he will succeed with this project because I think it could be great. If you get a chance stop by. Oh yeah, I just checked and the states he has added already are Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Indiana.
