Somtimes people wear a brace after surgery, which restricts their movement. Most people don't and your doctors will tell you your limitations. You won't be able to put on socks, shoes, or shave your legs so you will need someone to help you. But you should have someone around to help you regardless because you won't feel like getting up. Showering will be very tiring and you might need someone to help you then too. I hope this helps but remember everyone is different and recoveres differently.
