Hi! I'm new and it was great to find a website like this. My scoliosis was discovered in 8th grade (I don't know what the curvature was), but it wasn't bad enough to do anything and they told me that it was too high to brace (it's almost in my neck). I'm 25 years old now and haven't been to a doctor for at least 7 years. I've tried physical therapy and chiropractors but the pain continues to get worse. My shoulder and upper back hurt constantly and I find it hard to do things that require bending over, for very long without stopping to lie down to rest. I also have trouble taking deep breaths at times and wonder if the scoliosis causes this. I can't stand up straight and am noticing a hump in my shoulders. My husband and I want to start a family, but I'm scared to get pregnant with all of the pain. I'm also scared to death of the surgery since my curve is so high. Any advice would be very much appreciated!! Thanks!
Megan
