Hey thanks all for the support. Thomas did great! They went anterior and fused only about 5 vertebra with two rods side by side, so no brace. However he did loose 12 pounds and didn't have that to spare. He got real weak, and they didn't let us come back to MS until he was stronger. It's been 2 weeks. But we are home now he is 2 inches taller (5'6") and weighs only 87 pounds. We are pumping the insure plus shakes! He has Thanksgiving week to heal, then back to school. thanks again, carol
