I'm not familiar with the GCSES's probably because I'm from the US. What are they? About the height, it depends on each individual case as whether or not you would get taller from surgery. Some do however I did not. I'm not quite sure if people can continue to grow after surgery or not. I was at full height when I had surgery. I do know someone who had surgery really young and she has grown to full height since then. This is something your doctor could probably answer for you. At 53 degrees you are ready for surgery; however, if it's an S curve then you are more stable then if it's a C curve. If you feel like you need to finish up a few things like the GCSES's (i'm guessing that's an exam) then you probably should. But how far away are they? And before you said that you were on a wait list for 9 months. When you get put on the wait list after your MRI, then how long will it be then? I'm glad that you have an MRI appointment, I hope it's soon. Keep in touch.
