Posted by Jonathan I have been cast for a brace, it is made of pink plastic so I assume it is a Boston but I am not really sure, and I have an MRI appointment. I will not go on the waiting list before I get a clear MRI, and I am feeling a little frustrated that it will be so long until I get fused. It may end up happening when I should be doing my GCSES - should I delay the surgery a few months, delay the GCSEs, or what? I am also pleased to say that I have visited the Adolescent Unit in Stanmore and it has been a little of a relief for me that it is such a nice environment. I have only one worry: I am 5'3 with a span of 5'5, with a Risser Sign of 0. I am getting worried that my growth will be prevented by the instrumentation and/or the fact that the vertebrae will be fused. I am more than just 2" shorter than most of my peers and I don't want to end up any shorter for all this. Any help appreciated. Thanks
