I'm sorry to hear about your pain. I suggest you go see an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon that specializes in Scoliosis. I have one that I see every 3-5 years. I'm actually going back to see him in 2 weeks. Since your surgery was back in 1979 its probably best that you get an xray and have a specialist look at you. I wouldn't feel comfortable with my GP being the only opinion. He'll know the most about the spine. Good luck and let me know if you need any help finding a doctor.
