Hello everyone. I had a fusion back in 1979 - no rod though. I was told that the curve was to severe and too close to my heart to correct (I also have a heart defect). I've never had follow-up visits other than the first year after the fusion. I've always had some back pain, but now I'm 41 and the back pain is bad. In October my GP diagnosed me with Sciatica. I'm wondering now if is Sciatica, if it could be related to my fusion. I'm seeing my GP next week and I'm going to request an MRI. Also, do you have check-ups on your fusion?
