I agree that you will need a stool for the shower. Someone will probably need to help you bathe...like handing you the soap and such. I recommend taking it easy with eating solid foods. Sometimes those bodily systems go to sleep and don't wake up when you do! If you eat solids too fast you will throw it up. Otherwise, just take it easy and anticipate being fairly low key for a while. You don't want to over do it and make yourself worse. However, walking is a good exercise that you will need to do everyday...but don't over do it. Swimming is something that will comes over several months time. It usually requires you to twist and turn and with this surgery you will not want to do that until you are fused. In the end, you will be ok! It's best to anticipate the worst because it can only be go better than the worst.
