Needing to take pain pills and having tingling and spasms is very normal. I had to take a medication called Neurontin to stop the spasms in my arms. But I never actually felt the rods. It might just be in your head or you think it's the rods but it probably isn't. I didn't have rehab but I was really young. I would think that rehab would be good for anyone; however, ask your doctor because you obviously can't twist or do certain things. Honestly, I didn't find a certain chair more comfortable (even to this day). Sitting can be very uncomfortable. But chairs that are best are those with cushions under your butt and behind the back. 8-9 hours sounds right. You're awesome and sound like you're doing very well. Things will get better. God Bless.
