For some strange reason, the restaurant where I work is suddenly a magnet for groom's dinners - we had at least two last month, and when I looked at the party roster for the next few months (I confess! I was looking for large parties of old people so I could request those days off - am I bad or what???) I saw that there are several more scheduled for the rest of this year, which seems strange.
Anyhoo, the most recent groom's dinner came with a long list of things to which the groom is allergic - you name it, it would probably drop the guy, starting with good ol' gluten. And I mentioned to one of our managers that I would hate to be married to the guy because you could so easily kill him by accident, just by cooking! And the manager (a man, by the way) looks at me and says "Yeah, but look at it this way - it would be easy to kill him" - hahahahahaha. Okay, so maybe you had to be there, but I thought it was funny.
