Posted by Mindy on 8/18/2002, 5:07 pm I really want to know how other places feel about this. In the area I am from it is standard that restaurants add 15% grat(some add 18%) to parties of 8 or more. In fact most say it right on the menu. I personally like to use disgresion (sp). But I have chose not to add it before, and the people at the table 'assumed' I had added it because everywhere else adds it and luckily they did realize it before they left and mentioned it to me. Also we get those who refuse to pay it and are angry that we added it. What does everyone else here think on that topic? And what about regulars who NEVER tip and run your @$$ off?? What have you done about them? Thanx
