It seems that people in California arent very good at math....
I work in an italian restaurant downtown San Diego which by the way has not much going on in terms of fine dining which really disapointed me when I moved here from NYC.
People seems to not to tip according to the check. If the check is between 100 and 150 dollars they usually give you 15 to 18 dollars , from 150 to 200 it s between 18 to 25.
Now it could be me , I mean some of you might think ok he is just a bad server which I am not. There are 3 other waiters that work here and who just moved from the east coast and the same thing is hapenning to them. Which leads me to think:
A/ Californians are cheap
B/ Californians are just too used to fast foods anc chains and cant make the difference between good and bad service and just tip whatever their cheap mind tells them to do.
sad...tonight is friday, I am going to work my ass off and I know as a fact that I HAVE to sell at least 1200 Dollars to walk with 100 $ after tip out..
