Posted by Gracie on 8/8/2002, 10:48 am AH, HA, HA, HA!!!!!! jokes on you table stealer!! Karma babay!!!. That wasnt the only table stolen from me that night, another server snaked one too, turns out it was going to be transferred to the dining room though, and she only got a buck. Okay so here is my question. Do I keep my good karma going, or do I sink to thier level and steal thier tables back, or just take one of thiers over? Im afraid if I change, my luck will too, but this particular kind of lazy, greedy, gotta have a smoke break every half hour type of server really chaps my ass. Sugestions? Gracie I even had a guy once give me a twenty for filling his cofee once in the dining room at lunch. He wasn't even my table, but he said he liked that I took care of him and smiled at him. I really want to keep the good Karma, and I want to kick someones ass too. Im so conflicted!
I am working in the lounge on Saturday night. We have sections on the weekends, even in the lounge. One of my tables got sat, and this server is like "I will take this one, you take (this other table, a 2 top, known for being nice people but tipping 10 percent). The table this other server took is a four top, known for tipping awesome). I was very pissed off because I knew what he was doing, but it was busy and I was not going to break my professionalism and fight about it in front of the guests. So I, over the course of the next hour or so, was not very busy (only 4 tables, and only 3 were having dinner) so I was going around the room changing ashtrays, and pre-bussing tables, while two of my co-workers were god knows where. So this gentleman at this four top I was SUPPOSED to get in the first place was so happy I was keeping thier table nice for them, he calles me over and gives me a twenty!!! I said "oh, no dear I am not your server" and he says.....get this......no, but you should have been, we like you better!
