Game 1: The Pen is Mightier vs. Ultimatum
Now that we’re closing in on the end of the season, the big question, “How good is Ultimatum going to be?” is clearing up a little bit. The answer, “Yeah, they’re good… but semis contender? Maybe not as likely as previously thought.” I’m not saying they won’t make it, in fact pool play may treat the young team well, as long as they can keep the old men, (“Dad” and Tinsley) running strong, and in all reality, the way Jose the ‘Communist League Director’ set-up this league, any particular team has a shot at the final four. This particular game however, is going to be won by the Pen is Mightier.
Game 2: Cheaper than Gold vs. May Cause Dizziness
Cheaper than Gold, after a slow start, has figured out how to play together and win games together. Dizzy has revealed their Achilles heel as of last week when they were only able to score 1 point, against Confessions of a Huckaholic, in windy conditions. Considering 5 to 10 mph winds to the Northeast are predicted for tomorrow night, combined with the fact that Cheaper than Gold has handlers that can play in the wind, I’m going to pick Cheaper than Gold for the win.
Game 3: Confessions of a Huckaholic vs. Inglorious Backhanderds
I think these two teams are going to match up well against each other, especially if Phil Brown shows up for the Backhanderds. An important factor that was worth taking a look at was the Phoenix Suns schedule. The Suns start playing Miami at 5:30pm, which means Keith and Stephanie are lucky they have an 8:00pm game because they won’t be missing Stoli. I pick backhanderds with the win.
Game 4: Midnight Passion vs. Just Add Sugar
Is Obert’s knee getting any better? Is Mr. Gurggles (G. Howell) still a turnover machine? Exactly how OLD is Coz? Does Sullivan have a dance competition this night? Is Damon back from nationals, and will he be playing? Is Gretchen traveling the world again? Why does Nicole prefer Hot-Rod and not Nrod? Is Quan going to be tired from Monday Night Intel Disc? Is Leslie still in her Halloween Costume? How fast is Nate Anderson? Does anyone know how to correctly pronounce Roos? What kind of last name is Levenburg? Does Sarah Kessans have a secret identity? These unanswered questions lead me to believe that Just Add Sugar is going to win this game.
