All,
Here they are, back by popular demand and me taking a lunch break today. Good luck everyone, I'll see you on the fields tonight. I play at 8:00 so I'm anticipating plenty of hecklers to be around.
Game 1: Clown Syndrome vs. Town Tricycle
The standings just don’t make sense on this game. Clown Syndrome is sitting at 5th and Town Tricycle is still up at first place. The funny thing is that Tricycle only has a +5 point differential on Clown, but when it comes down to comparing teams that the two have played, Clown shows the edge. At this point I think the standings are skewed because Clown plays the 7th and 8th ranked team the last two weeks, and Tricycle plays the 2nd and 3rd ranked team the last two weeks. Plus, I was quoted as saying to Vince that his team would finish 6-4 this season, so I’m going to pick Clown with the win tonight.
Game 2: Disc-Throw Inferno vs. Huck My Life
Huck my Life just came off of a really hard loss in the ‘week of upsets’ but from what I heard, Kaetlynn was hurt and Cole was gone, any team is going to struggle without its captains. Disc-thrown seems to still be trying to find themselves as well, with their last game being a loss to Midnight Passion, some deeper soul searching is necessary. I pick Huck my Life with the win.
Game 3: Huckalumps vs. Jelly it up the Sideline
Jelly is aching for a win this week after a tie a couple weeks ago, and a loss by 1 point last week. The difference this time around is that Jelly’s ladies are not going to be savage, (Marlena is Back) and some missing height and speed is back to the Men’s line. (Pat is Back) So with Jelly back up on all cylinders, the Huckalumps are probably going to have a difficult time matching up. I pick Jelly with the win.
Game 4: Short Flick/Looong Hammer vs. Districk 9
*Game of the Week
These two teams are as statistically close as you can get without being the exact same. (Thus the Game of the Week designation) I think that Short Flick has the tools necessary for this game though. They’ve shown toughness from week to week and they have been improving their game play over the season. I'm also looking forward to old man Abdoo burning some young guy deep for the score... again. It should be close, but Short Flick with the win.
Good Luck Everyone.
