Game 1: Midnight Passion vs. Disc-Throw Inferno
I’m going to go out on a limb here and give the win to Midnight Passion, that’s right, I think the only 0-6 team will pull off a win, and here’s why:
1. Jack Smith – I’ve seen Inferno play a lot of games, and I haven’t seen Jack at many of those games, he’s probably not going to show tonight, (probability suggests) and that is a huge detriment to Inferno.
2. Amber – Midnight was going to have only one lady tonight so they were able to pick up a player from the waiver wire. They still are going to be playing savage, but I’ve seen Amber play, and she’ll be a contributor to the team for sure.
3. Trotter – Russ was overhead saying, “I want to win a &^(* %^ $&^ %* &%^ !$@#$!$ (*&() %@$%@# game.” He’s going to be bringing the heat.
Game 2: Clown Syndrome vs. Cheaper than Gold
This should be a fairly well matched game if everyone shows. I’m thinking that since Cheaper than Gold is crossing over tonight, they have a bigger chance of people not showing up for the game. So if I had to pick a team, it would be Clown.
Game 3: Inglourious Backhanderds vs. Jelly it up the Sideline
Jelly it up the sideline did some self analysis after their last game (Tie 13-13 against Dizzy) And have discovered how they want to approach the rest of the season. However, their first round guy and first round lady are still honeymooning so they’ll be playing short-handed again. For backhanderds to win, they are going to have to be doing everything right and Jelly is going to have to be looking pretty bad, so I’m going to pick Jelly for the win.
Game 4: Short Flick / Looong Hammer vs. May Cause Dizziness
Short Flick now has an even record at (3-3) which is encouraging to see, but the majority of their wins have been coming from low winning percentage team. Dizziness is a little bit better at (3.5, 2.5) but that doesn’t really set them apart.
The strategy for Short Flick should be to contain Lindsey and Hayden as best as possible and use Byron to try to shut down Ryan Watson cause that really limits their handling capability. Put some young energetic guy on Dhein, I’m pretty sure nobody on short flick can effectively cover him, so whatever.
The strategy for Dizziness should be to run the hell out of short flick and get Nabity, Abdoo, Duane, Jennings and Byron as tired as possible, if you can make Nabity throw up, you will hear my laughing from the adjacent field. The more you use the dizzy youth advantage, the better off you will be.
Since I have to pick someone, I pick dizzy to win, but this game is really going to come down to who is playing smarter.
Good luck this week everyone, and remember, post game beers will be served at BOULDERS ON BROADWAY. A better establishment, with better servers that actually like us, and I can pretty much guarantee they won’t lock the doors when we show up.
