Well folks, here it is, better late than never, but I wanted give a little bit of commentary on the Thursday night games because a couple people asked me to, and I promised I would.
Game 1: Ultimatum Vs. Town Tricycle
I’m pretty tired of seeing Town Tricycle on the top of the Thursday night rankings with their big 4-0. They can not keep that streak going to whole season, and I think that this is going to be the week that they get knocked down a peg. The speed of the Connoles is going to be one of the toughest obstacles this team has encountered yet. If Ultimatum plays hard D, things will swing their way. If that’s the case then ‘Tricycle’ will have a tough time putting points on the board. Also, no insult intended Vince, but even though your team started out 4-0, I think you’re going to end the season around a 6-4 record. Just a prediction.
Game 2: Just Add Sugar Vs. Disctrick 9
‘Just add Sugar’ is coming off a recent loss to Cheaper than Gold from last week and are probably going to be playing extra hard to shake off that loss. Disctrick 9 had a ‘not impressive’ win the previous week against the Huckalumps, if they were playing at the top of their game they should have had a more decisive victory. I’m going to give this game to ‘Just add Sugar’
Game 3: The Pen is Mightier Vs. Disc-throw Inferno
When doing a straight up comparison between the two teams, the major difference is experience. The Pen is mightier has several veteran players throughout the roster, while Disc-throw has a large number of rookie players. What will be interesting to see is if Jose and Sara can convert their rookie players into veteran decision making machines by the end of the season. This game should go pretty easily to The Pen is Mightier.
Game 4: Clown Syndrome Vs. May Cause Dizziness

I’m picking this game as my game of the week because of the exciting matchups that are sure to take place. ‘May Cause Dizziness’ has plenty of talent, but I’m not sure they have enough to match up down the line with ‘Clown Syndrome.’ When it comes to a height matchup ‘Dizzy’ is going to have to do something about Big Nate and Skyler, what that is, I don’t know. Craig has a little verticality but outside of that ‘Dizzy’ seems to be on the shorter side. I foresee a Dixon on Dhein matchup for a large part of the evening so putting some high jumping talent on the big guys may not happen as often as ‘Dizzy’ would like. Nate tends to handle a bunch in league and I think using Watson may be key in preventing Big Nate from getting the disc. But even if both of these things work, all that’s left is Dhein and Watson tied up and K-Hatch free to throw to Skyler, which is a deadly combination. If dizzy wants to win they are going to have to do a couple things effectively: They are going to have to utilize their women to a full extent and S-Bomb Linssen and Garrett are really going to have to step it up. Even with that happening if Mel, Justine and Sharon are all pretty experience and have the talent to put a wrench in the ‘Dizzy’ offense. I’m going to give this game to ‘Clown Syndrome’ after all is said and done. Too many things have to be clicking correctly or incorrectly for the game to go the other way.
