I don't believe league will ever be void of bad calls, but I hope this discussion will help decrease the amount. I also want to point out 2 specific situations on the brighter side of things.
1. Chris Nipar was making an in cut and the disc was a little off. Although it would have been a tough catch the nOOb who was guarding him YELPED really loud just before the disc arrived. This is an obvious infraction to SOTG, but seeing as he was a nOOb, Chris conceded the turnover. (I explained to the nOOb why that is unacceptable) We scored and ended up winning by 1 or 2, but SOTG triumphed (well, except me being a dick to Keith later that game) Cheers Chris
2. Another of our nOObs was guarding > nate and he made a foul call. I know he did not make the call to gain unfair advantage, but personally I thought it was a bad call. I started to argue with him while the nOOber stood around with a confused look. After a little while I caught myself and explained to the nOOb the contest/no contest rule and said it was his decision. He had no idea, and although I wanted to just tell him to contest it, I did not and neither did he. The game went on and we talked a little more on the sideline. Long story short, many things are better to discuss on the sidelines than the minutes of b****in which soils the game, despite if it involves nOObs or vets or mean people.
Thank you mysterious nOOb. I hope you continue to play and learn to love the game as much as many of us here in vots land sincerely do.
