Hi everyone! I’m doing the Susan G. Komen 3 Day walk this November (http://www.the3day.org), and as part of doing the walk, I am raising a bunch of money for breast cancer research. Rather than pester my family and friends for donations, I’m going to be doing a number of fundraising activities, the first of which will be a bake sale this coming weekend (March 27-29). So I’m emailing to let you know, in case you’re interested in coming by, and also to gauge interest. It’s the Tempe Art Fest weekend, so I assume lots of folks will be in the area anyway. I live at 1020 S. Maple Ave., a block west of Mill between 10th and 11th.
If you want some baked goodies, I can also get them to you separate from the bake sale weekend. Baking/cooking is something of a passion of mine, and baking things separate from the large effort for this weekend would be great. Please email me if you’d like something in particular (I’m happy to do “special orders”), or come on by!. Some of the baked goods:
• Homemade fettuccine noodles, dried, in a variety of flavors (so far, sundried tomato, basil, garlic herb…anything else that sounds good, I’m flexible!)
• Artisan bread loaves (white, herb, and white whole wheat) – fully cooked or parbaked and frozen, so that you can thaw and toss them in the oven for 10 minutes for a fresh out of the oven loaf with dinner – I could also do these with olives or roasted garlic in them
• Chocolate chip cookies (not your average ones – people hunt me down for this recipe)
• Sugar cookies
• Cupcakes
• Brownies
• Banana bread
• Anything else that sounds good – I’m open to suggestions!
In sum, I’d really appreciate it if you could email me if you’re interested and might stop by (I have no idea how many people will, so I’m trying to figure out interest so I know what I need ahead of time), or if you’d like any of this stuff separate from the bake sale (this is ongoing, so any time you feel like you’d like to make homemade pasta with fresh bread for dinner one evening, just let me know and I can bring some to the fields). Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it!
