Ha. Nice. The site is still public, but sure, fundamentally, yeah, the Tempe Parks people are more likely to react to the shirts than to the website. I didn't mean to imply the contrary, just was trying to say that it's weird to have the disparate standards. And that as Eric said, we probably should be at least moderately careful about what we associate with VOTS in the public domain, if the slightest offense is going to make us lose our fields.
And again, if this is *really* a pragmatic issue and not a case of the Nicole-stated "Fuddy Duddies," then that's certainly a reasonable "sacrifice" for people to make. I still think an explanation would have been nice, but that seems like what we're getting out of discussing it here. Fair enough.
Side note: is this *really* funny because it references a bad word? Or is it 2nd level funny, because it mocks a company that thinks it's clever but is actually not at all? I seriously want to know. When I first saw the design, I just thought, "Ha! That's right, French Connection is a bunch of unclever douche bags!" I didn't say, "F***, teehee." Maybe that's just me. Maybe we are just a bunch of 12 year olds. Sigh.
