I think the best way to feel is to be disappointed, not pissed off. Its a bummer, I agree. Thursday is not exclusive in this dilemma because you have a 2 hour time difference on Tuesdays and there are crossover nights. As you are aware it takes a lot of time and effort to run a league, this time by Jose, as well as Katherine and Keith behind the scenes with the web and scheduling. The best way to avoid the situation is to captain together or be league director and set the rules. If one of you are captain it can work also by speaking up at the draft and asking the other captains to appease your request to play together. I have seen it happen a lotand experienced it first hand. I can no longer baggage my son after the first time he played. I was able to pick him this time, but at a previous draft he was selected and then I asked the captain to reconsider letting me take him a few picks later. So far it has worked out and I appreciate it, but I don't expect it.
Another thing that would be helpful would be approved trading, where a certain number of captains would have to object to override a trade. Kinda like Fantasy Football and Baseball.
Sometime when I get the nads to step up and run league I will try something totally different and let players all have a ranking from a scale and let captains sign up for league with a core of say 5-7 people with a total value that cannot exceed a certain arbitrary number. Then based on how many points they used of their total they can only pick players with X value to finish their team in the draft. Its an interesting concept but takes work and volunteering.
