I guess I'm getting even older and wimpier. But when I showed up for Sunday evening disc at Bustoz on 8/31, only to find that the field is locked up and everyone (apparently for the last few weeks) is just climbing the 6' high fence to get in, I was kinda disappointed. Consider:
- We're probably breaking some trespassing law.
- If someone is playing there and sprains an ankle, they're going to be very unhappy climbing back over the fence to leave.
- No one was using Rhodes on Sunday (I went past it on the way to Bustoz).
- Really old guys with constantly achy knees and really shaky hands don't like climbing 6' fences. Maybe there's some players who won't come out and play because of this???
Yeah, ok, heckle me about this (give it your best shot, but make it witty, please), but it seems like this is not the best venue for open play.
