In the good old days the oversized passengers were so rare that we used to try to help everyone out including their row mates by finding them a first class (bigger) seat. Empty row etc. NOw they have to buy two coach seats if their oversized "saddlebags" extend more that 1 1/2" onto their neighbors' seat cushions. Hey that center aisle can only get so narrow and no way to stretch the sides of a plane outward. NOt sure what this has to do with the topic at hand but maybe if you put a baggage clause in like...the baggage has to recruit another non-baggage league member to be able to make exception to the rule for themselves. But I kind of agree with the old play-the-cards-you're-dealt attitude.
