My comment (that started this thread) had nothing to do with any specific case in the past.
My point is simply that I think the point of the league having a draft to form teams is that everything should be done to give every team an equal chance as of the start of the draft. If a captain does a better job of scouting talent than other captains, that's fine.
But effort should be be made to prevent someone from using baggage, or for that matter, intentionally under-rating oneself (on a self-rating of the skill of a player new to the area), or (as rumored to have happened in the past) a top-level player says "I'm going to miss finals" and gets drafted late and then plays in finals, etc.
Anyhow, end of comments from me on this thread... let's get league started and have fun! Who's bringing the beer!?!?!?
