It sounds like homeschooling could work out well for you. You would be able to work at your son's individual level in different areas and build on his strengths in a way that classroom teachers often can't do. There are a number of homeschool groups and activities in Washington County if you do want some social connections and outside stimulation. Also, I do curriculum consulting with homeschooling parents so, if your anxieties are about the academics, I might be able to help. Feel free to email me off the board if you want to talk more.
