Hi,
I pulled my son out mid year for various reasons(health/safety at school were main reasons)some were policy changes at school also. I had no trouble doing so but then I did all the enrollment stuff before taking him out and before the school knew that I had gotten the leg up on them. It is an easy process to follow. The staff at DOE homeschool division are pretty helpful. Feel free to email me if you have more questions or just want support. We all need to help one another from time to time.
