Posted by Lordxdom SUMMER OF WORG UPDATE (VERSION 2.0) Summer is in the air and we were supposed to be taking time to write the new album and well......as always things don't turn out as planned. First off we're playing the KILLING TIME / UPPERCUT reunion in NY Memorial Day Weekend! This summer will also be seeing us hitting up the midwest and the west coast for two seperate one-off appearances at ARLINGTON HEIST (Chicago/Indiana) and SINK WITH CALI (Los Angeles, CA). We'll also be doing a couple shows with our pals from Holland NO TURNING BACK who will be doing a week on the west coast and then a week on the east coast in July. Check the shows page for all the latest updates. Coming up on August 13th, we will be teaming up with the Sidebar in Baltimore to throw a FREE outdoor all ages show out in the parking lot. We will be collecting pet food and supplies which will be donated to abandoned animal shelters. Mark the date on your calendar, and check the shows page for all the latest info. A lot of awesome bands will be donating their time for free so we can all have a good time together. Our thank you to the Baltimore scene and everyone else for 2 amazing years of support. Lots has been going on on the records end of thing. The first pressing of the 'Drunk At The YOT Reunion' 7" sold out within the first month of release. We were blown away by the response the record got. It has since been repressed on two new colors of vinyl: red and gold. Also, the s/t CD on Perfect Victim has sold out and been repressed, this time with corrected tracklisting and a few other changes, check the discography page for the full details. Perfect Victim releases can be ordered online through their webstore, as well as most online distros, and local record stores. You can even find them in bigger stores like Tower Records and Hot Topic! Wierd, but it's defenitely a good thing. Be sure to pick up a Slumlords CD or record wherever you are! The split 7" with No Redeeming Social Value is currently at the plant and will be available this summer. 3 different colors of vinyl will be available for this release. One for pre-orders, one for sale only with the purchase of any Conformist Skateboard, and then the regular version. This split is the first installment of a series released by Conformist called 'A Bad Case Of The Splits'. The CD will be released in Japan this fall on WD Sounds with bonus tracks/video footage under the title 'Songs Of Beer'. There are also talks of a european CD release so stay tuned. Give And Take Records in South Africa will be releasing the 'Circus Freaks' 7" this summer. Side A features 3 songs from the s/t CD including the original version of Circus Freaks that is no longer available on the Perfect Victim repress. Side B features 3 live tracks from our show at CBGBs last December (including a Minor Threat cover). There are talks of Perfect Victim/A389 Records buying out the stock of leftover 12"s from the ever elusive Rocket Punch Records. We hope to have the matter resolved in the upcoming weeks, and we apologize to anyone who ordered a record from RPR and hasn’t received it. We're working on getting the problem solved. So that's it on the new releases end of things. The band has been working on songs for the new album. Some tracks include 'Kids On Ritalin', '3 For 3 On A Thursday Night', and 'Involuntary Skinheads'. The album is currently under the working title 'Tavon's Revenge'. Also, the 'Drinking Songs' 7" for Organized Crime Records is slated to be recorded this summer. We have a bunch of new merchandise printed for the summer. New tees, girlie spaghetti strap shirts, longsleeves, pins and other rad things Be sure to pick something up at the shows or check out the webstore to order online. In A389 Records news, the Bring It On has still been selling strong. We have 2 new 7" releases set for release in June. First up is Everyday Dollars from New York City. Featuring ex-members of Killing Time, The Uprise and worldwide legend/Ballantine Conneisseur Richie Darkside, Everyday Dollars play awesome straight up hardcore in the early 80's vein. At the same time we'll be releasing the debut 7" from Washington DC's positive youth crew IN MY WAY, Make them feel welcome, we're sure both bands will have no problem fitting in. Website is now up and running with MP3s so, check it out!!!: www.A389Records.com What do you get when you put members of the Slumlords, The Spark, and Never Enough in a blender? The answer is PULLING TEETH. New band out of Baltimore, in the studio recording a demo at the end of May. 60 second doses of total devestation. Prepare to be pulverized. More at 11. Last, but defenitely not least, we're super excited to announce that we've teamed up with Krank Guitar Amplification, and will be rocking their Revolution Series at our upcoming shows. Be sure to check them out! www.krankamps.com Thanks to everyone that have been picking up Slumlords stuff, coming to shows and showing us love. Thanks to everyone picking up the A389 releases.
